I posted iPhone photos during the gathering for the folks that could not attend. They are at:
Then I took some other photos with Tom's digital camera. The first set of photos is of the Fiber Arts competition.

This is another fine white fleece with an incredible luster to its locks:

Next are my purchases- embarrassing given the size of my fiber stash already.

Every year at the BSG I fall in love with a red Angora kid, and my heart is broken because it is always sold first or not for sale. So this year I finally bought this wonderful red buckling (soon to be a fiber wether). His given name is Wa-Zoo since he is red and grey and from Pullman. We are going to call him "Coug". He was not too happy with the long ride home but seems to be settling in with our Nigora wether Mr. D.

I'm glad I'm not the only Shetland breeder who bought fiber! Ha! And that river otter? Looks like a nutria.
A nutria...yuk!
Wow! So you did end up bringing home a new critter! I notice that there is a crate in the picture.... did that require a quick trip to the pet store?
I just spun up a sample of kid mohair I bought at Black Sheep, and it is wonderful- I had no idea what I've been missing!
Yes, we ran to the pet store to buy the kennel only to discover that it was too small for him. So he just ran around the back of the pick up, peeing and pooping on Tom's tools. Tom is thrilled!
So lock the dogs up in the back of the pick-up to clean up the goat mess! hee!
Good idea, but Tom already cleaned it up. Nut sure if the dogs would have licked all the urine from his tools (and not destroyed some of the tools in the process). And now we have yet another kennel.
Ok, I guess I hardly bought a thing in comparison - and (HA) we came home without any critters! Congrats on your new little fellow! T.
I went a little extra crazy this year. I am justifying by saying to myself with my new job I will have more time for fiber.
