Lambs!!!!!!!

Finally, when I went back to work, Wilma lambed yesterday morning.  Tom checked on the ewes in the morning and then one hour later checked again, and there were these cleaned off lambies.  This is the photo he took then:
There's two brown lambs- a ram lamb and a ewe lamb.  They will likely both become mioget like their mother and father- a gorgeous golden color.  Since Tom took care of them he got to name them.  Meet Wile E.
and Wildthing:
We are trying to retain a replacement for Jocko since he will be nine this next spring.  So Wile E. is a possibility, but we'll see what Jenny and Sheila produce first before deciding who to keep intact.  Hopefully this will be soon!

Oh, they definitely look like they are mioget (to my inexperienced eyes)! Congratulations!

Wow, so cute! I know Steve would kill me but I am interested. And could work out a deal with the fiber for you:) Just want a lambie pie.

They are gorgeous! and very cute. I'm glad your ewes have started lambing. That means Madison is not far behind. I hope hers and Lydia's will be as cute as these.

Thanks for the "cutes". Krista- let me know if you are interested- quite a few of the lambs are spoken for already. Plus a lot of the fiber has sold too- three more fleeces going to Canada today. I do hope Madison and Lydia lamb soon- you must be getting as tired as I am. I do not know why they are so late this year- maybe the weather in November?!?

Isn't that the way it works - they lamb AFTER you go back to work :) Cute lambs, love the names...

Yeaaaaa, lambs! Almost all of ours are 2 to 4 days later than "usual" this year. Only one lambed at less than 145 days (Gotland/Finn), the Shetlands are going 150+. Strange.

Hmmmm, mioget ram - would you be interested in Buddy?

They do seem to wait- 150 days was on March 29th so we are way past due. We still have 5 VERY pregnant ewes standing around not doing much but eating. I am at work again today so we'll see what they produce for Tom. He may be naming more lambs today! I really love mioget- can't seem to get enought of spinning, knitting and weaving it.
